Workshop – Paleontologist for a Day

While acting as paleontologists, students will take part in the simulation of paleontological excavations, practicing searching for fossils and rocks, analysing and commenting on the results, in order to learn about the history of this territory. The workshop is a preliminary study for the visit to museum collections. Afternoon hikes along the Orba creek facilitate further engagement in the discussion; environmental education opens the horizon on the study and classification of rocks.

The paleontological workshop will simulate the search for fossils, as well as their excavation and analysis.
The mineralogy workshop will examine the crystalline structure of minerals, the methods of their classification and their utility.
Both workshops, during which students can experiment directly, will also serve as a preliminary to the museum visit which will provide them with a more complete vision of the topic.
