After a break for the holidays, continues the events of “Museando d’inverno – The Museum in Winter – Appointments with Entertainment, Culture and Nature”, organized by the association Calappilia, in agreement with the municipal administration of Ovada, at the headquarters of Maini’s Paleontological Museum in Via Sant’Antonio, 17 in Ovada.
Saturday, January 19 at 4:00 pm there will be the inauguration of the temporary photos exhibition “Insects” curated by Photoclub 35 spaces on the ground floor of the museum. There are photographs that tell people travel far or reportage on the edge of the world. There are pictures that show or events that enhance modern architecture. More and more frequently we see photographs retouched (if not completely built). Adapting ourselves to the times, too often we tend to look beyond just the simple things without realizing the existence of a whole tiny world that lives around us every day, that comes into our homes and occupies our green spaces. For this reason it was decided to dedicate an exhibition to the protagonists of this world: insects, shy creatures and discrete (in our area rarely dangerous), despite their appearance often funny or special, sometimes even elegant.
Due to our phobia, they are simply watched and considered as “animals horrifying and disturbing” evidence of how much we know little or nothing of these little creatures that were able to resist, transform and adapt to events in thousands of years to reach the today. The exhibition will run until March 10 during the normal opening hours of the museum: Saturday from 15:00 to 18:00, Sunday from 10.00 to 12.00 am and from 3.00 to 6.00 pm.
